Thanksgiving Was Great but Now I'm Miserable

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! For many, it was different than our usual and we may have been missing some of our family members. But what probably wasn't missing was that fantastic food! I hope you enjoyed all of your favorites!

However, after the meal, many of us are left not feeling so good for the next few days. So I took to the internet for some tips. After lots of browsing and thinking of what would work for us regular people, not necessarily high intensity athletes, I came up with some helpful ideas.

First, hydrate! Easy peezy! I do best when I go to bed with water on my bedside table and I can drink 8 ounces before I even get out of the bed. I feel like its a great way to break that 7 hours through then night that I haven't been eating or drinking. If you think about it, a lot of our traditional Thanksgiving foods are high in sodium and leave us needing water. In fact, we need lots. Drink up and stick to it!

Also, remember that sweat is one of the ways our bodies detoxify. So work in some light workouts or walks outside, enough to make you sweat. This will help you psychologically, it will help your energy level, and it will help get some of that crap out of your system.

Don't skip eating. Instead, keep eating, only keep your meals very small. If you do this, you may also need to eat more than 3 times per day. Make sure you include things that help you, like fruits and vegetables.
